B A N A N A S

That left is bananas. Just putting it out there! Surfed a powerful wave this past week but was fun and quite an experience.

Good news is that my roasties are gone and I have again entered the waters. It's sick to be surfing again. More good news is that I got a pretty decent sized photo published in the latest sixty40 which is some hardcore eye porn to my eyes! My first photo published in the Local mag and i'm stoked.

The last boland trial is happening this weekend which i'm pretty keen for and hope that the conditions are good. Looking good so far.

Here are some photos. ( sorry for the lack of photographic evidence but I have just been far too keen to surf )

Looks fun doesn't it?

weekend mix

Had a pretty average weekend. Wasn't able to surf due to the swollen scabs on my belly but did go spectate and swam a bit. Waves were sick on the day of the trials. Small but powerful. I had fun watching them break.

Skated a fair bit this weekend. Fell a few more times resulting in my crrrusty scab to re-open. BLEAK. Should survive.

scar face

We have had a rather grualling flat spell resulting in me surfing only 3 times last week and not even once this week do to some holes that need filling on my belly.

Longboarding seems to be the craze in the area at the moment with lots of people bombing hills on their newly bought skateboards and some feeling the consequences. I am one of those who have followed the crowd and also one who has felt the consequences. I have however invested in some knee guards and elbow guards so should be safer now.

Due to these craters on myself I have forcefully been removed rfom my love of bodyboarding until I am healed which is bad news as we have boland bodyboarding trials this saterday. I will be there and, depending on how the waves are looking, I might even compete.

wavve

Today we had our second boland trial which was held at Koeel bay. We got there and it looked a little messy and closing out a bit. Then the offshore breeze picked up and it got insane. Best conditions I have surfed in for a comp so far. I made my first heat with a few nice waves.

By the time of the finals it was a little windy and closing out even more but there were still some nuggets. I happened to find a few and ended up winning the trial. Stoked with the result.
