weskus suksew

I am off to the west coast as of next week where I will be residing with a few friends for the holiday. Amped to say the least but cannot help the thoughts in my mind asking where the waves are going to be. We will be camping a bit aswell as some luxury 3 star accomodation compliments of Eureka.

The comp promises to be a good one and I will be working there to pay my living costs. I am frothing yes.

Here are some photos recently taken. I hope you find them attractive.

Onrus classic 2010

Spent the last week of my life in Onrus. Was great fun, scored some sick waves and had good times.

I didn't enter the comp because for me it is not worht the R100 to enter but I did enjoy the vibe on the beach and got some photos.

Some bad news is that Malcolm has turned his back on me punching me several times in the upper torso after being locked in a bathroom. He came out with the look of a criminal in his eyes and struck me in the rib. The rookie will learn.

Anyway we also managed to score some cooking farside and here are thee photos for you:

offshoreliciouis

Caves was offshore today indeed. Just a drop of optimism ws all that was needed and the waves we got were defenitely worth the wait.

Had a good surf with Kurt, Mathew and Malcolm. Surfed for a solid 4 hours and the result is aching backs all round.

I didnt take time off to take photos but snatched these before we left.

Anyways just got back from caves rolling with Sluggy V, MAFOOS and Armunchie. Yes it was fun and yes I did get some good photos thanks for asking.

Was a good surf especially after a not so fun maths paper today.

Here are some photos. Not the best ones.

Sorry for the delayed blog post. Hit my internet cap. But it's back now so heres a post.

Got the west coast classic this weekend. Looking forward to it and hopefully earning some money. Pray for me. Got a sick crew of people to go up with so should be fun.

gale force glassy barrels

Today was rather strange to tell the truth. Woke up and the sun was halfway through the sky?

Anyway headed to the beach. Ramped a few sand dunes. Got a couple of epic photos and scored sick waves.

First stop was at a undisclose beach break where all we did was ramp the sand dunes and explore a bit. Then we stopped at the reef in pringles where we paddled in only to realise that it was too small to break. After a solid hour I only caught 4 waves so we headed to the next stop which happened to be kogel-baai. Glassy pits. null-crowd. Took a few photos then paddled in and got so biscuit.

Empty wave photos by me and surf photos by Julian Parsons.

parsley

Just got back from an epic west coast mission. Did not score like we would have liked to but we tested our limits at some heavy reef and also a dash of slab. Camping was good with some insane inside jokes to be remembered.

1st day: pack car and leave for Lamberts bay. swell is hoeplessly too big so we set camp
2nd day: look for waves but settle for yo-yo's, swells to big
3rd day: score sick beachie followed by a fun reef session and big beachie
4th day: after alot of brain storming we decide to head down the coast because up cost would not be working. Head down to a heavy reef that was supposed to be pumping but arrive at crosshore heavy reef, paddle in and get a beating. It was decide too cut the trip short because condions were only getting worse.

Some photos. ahoooi
