stinky stinky weather

Stinky weather if I might say so myself! Had an early night with the idea of getting up early to ride waves now I am riding the couch and getting depressed. Horrible week in stellenbosch and this weather makes my mood even more stinky.

Enough of my silly ranting though, here are some photos from our session at tand this past holiday when the swells were better and the weather was not so stinky.

It was good but now it is over

6 weeks of its goodness all over me. Lots of local trips, lots of unbelievable barrels and lots of good times.

I would like to start by thanking all of my friends for helping make all of the trips fun. Thanks to everyone who came surfing with me and gave me some waves. Thanks to south africa's poor economy making surf trips just that much more expensive and thanks to mother nature for blessing me with good waves!

Caves not disappointing the crowd of wave hungry fiends. There were very nice big blue crystal clear water tunnels to be had today for those who were willing to wait for the 17 seconds swell period.

The garden route has definitely proven to be one of the best parts of South Africa. Cooking waves, good weather and some of the most interesting terrain I have been privileged enough to explore. I have also been doing my travels with a group of friends I haven't yet road tripped with and it turned out being a great success. Cheers to the good times!

I try not to blog twice a day because I like to try create a bit of excitement for the next blog post. But tomorrow morning I leave for another surf trip up the lower garden route and I just have an overflow of photos at the moment.

The venue

Been away for the past week. Up the southern cape looking for long rides and good times. Got the long rides and the good times. Super stoked to have made another mission and tomorrow I leave again. Frothing!
