bitter sweet best in the west

On the most spontaneous mission yet it seems I have run into perfect waves. Left with nothing but shock I am stoked to have scored the waves we did.

Each year almost as a ritual myself and Willis visit Lamberts bay with another friend and this year proved to be very fruitful. Joining us for the surf trip was the Mauritian legend Kylos.

Such a sweet time but let me rather let the short video do the talking. Here are some photos for the meantime.

Ingredients for big barrels

Big long blue warm barrels are the ones I am talking about.

Firstly you will need to get out of the western cape because the water is not warm here. Secondly you will need to go to the South coast. And thirdly you need alot of patience!

I spent the last two weeks in Port Edward cruising with old bugger Davey Gouws and crew. I had a groovy-spectacular time but I am stoked to be home. Because the lulls are long up there.

Here are photos from a few spots in the area that like to cook.
